The MKC Traditions Knives showcase handles crafted from desert ironwood, a material celebrated for its hard, closed grain that repels oil, blood, and water. This ensures the handle stays clean, stable, and free from warping or cracking. We&&';;ve outfitted five of our models - the Blackfoot, the Whitetail, the Stonewall, the Jackstone, and the Super Cub - with these exceptional handles, each paired with a custom sheath from Francesca at Teton Leather. Every piece of desert ironwood is unique, just like a fingerprint, offering a variety of grain patterns from burly to straight.
